At Monew, your privacy is our top priority. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and protect your financial information.

1. Data Collection

Monew is designed to be privacy-first. By default, we do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal or financial data on external servers. All your transaction data, categories, budgets, and settings are stored locally on your device using SQLite database.

2. Local Data Storage

Your financial data is stored exclusively on your device in an encrypted SQLite database. This data includes transactions, workspaces, categories, budgets, and preferences. The data remains on your device and is only accessible to you through the app. If you uninstall the app, all local data is permanently deleted.

3. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or transmit your financial data to any third parties. Your data stays on your device. If you choose to enable optional cloud backup via Google Drive, your data is transmitted directly to your personal Google Drive account and is encrypted in transit. We never have access to your cloud-stored data.

4. Your Rights

You have complete control over your data. You can export your data at any time in Excel or JSON format. You can delete all your data by uninstalling the app or using the data management features in Settings. You can disable cloud sync at any time, and your local data will remain intact.

5. Security Measures

We implement industry-standard security practices to protect your data. All data is stored in an encrypted SQLite database. If you enable cloud sync, data is encrypted during transmission using HTTPS/TLS protocols. We recommend using device-level security features like PIN, password, or biometric authentication.

6. Third-Party Services

Monew does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. If you enable optional Google Drive sync, you are subject to Google's Privacy Policy for data stored in your Google Drive. We do not use cookies, trackers, or any form of behavioral analytics.

7. Changes to Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app with an updated 'Last Updated' date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We will notify users of significant changes through in-app notifications.
